Dr. Fig Finkelstein

With over a decade of clinical practice, Fig specializes in holistic skin healing and hormonal health with a knack for restoring Fertility, calming PCOS, Menopause, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Histamine Intolerance, SIBO and various Gastrointestinal issues.

In practice, Fig relies heavily on up-to-date clinical research along with the teachings & cycles of the natural world. Growing up on her family’s strawberry farm in Ohio, she was first introduced to herbal medicine at an early age, as it was passed down through generations of Appalachian folk healers within her family and surrounding community.

Fig’s connection to nature & Classical Five Element philosophy was strengthened during her solo hike on the Appalachian Trail where she received her calling as a holistic medicine doctor.

In 2016, Fig founded Herban Austin, a medicinal herb farm in Central Texas, where she cultivates organically grown botanicals for both Traditional Western folk and Chinese medicines -implemented in her clinical practice.

She has worked extensively with the V.A. to serve the veteran population, helping to ease conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and substance addiction.
